Off-setting the cost of gas

The bf did the calculations...only when we've ridden our bikes to and from home 290 times will we have broken even with what we paid for them and what it would've cost for gas.

  1. ...at the current gas price. Another increase in price per gal will bring that number down. Also, will it bring your total mileage down enough to get a change in insurance premium? Also, deferred maintenance on said vehicle for lower mileage...of course all this is assuming you don't get hit by a car and end up in the hospital. That would definitely mess up the numbers... :)

  2. Haha yeah...I was talking to C. about this and I was joking around about calling USAA, asking them if auto insur prem will go down, and them saying, 'Yes, but you now have to pay $500/mth for a life insur policy.' The pros definitely outweigh the cons--we still haven't mentioned benefits to health and the environment.

  3. If I can make it a whole day without revving the Bronco, 8 baby seals and 4 polar bears live through the day.
