It seems like I've always had neck problems. I had torticollis when we lived in Florida, so before I started 1st grade. What is that, 5?
I'd also pull muscles in my neck periodically, but there was a time in college when it really was at least once a month I'd pull something in my neck. I'd finally feel better and then do it again. It got to the point where I went to the doctor, but all he said was take some medicine for the pain.
I noticed recently that I can't turn my head and look to the right as far as I used to. I still have the same amount of motion to the left, but the right is stiff. I really noticed it this morning when I had to turn in my seat to talk to someone. Blah.
My prescription: start doing neck stretching exercises twice a day.
Isn't torticollis the most painful, aggravating thing?
ReplyDeleteThe only things I remember from that experience is being upset at not being able to see the doctor (who was a neighbor of ours I believe) and mom bribing me to do the neck exercises with a fudgesicle. I think I'd take torticollis over kidney stones any day!
ReplyDeleteWhat if you had kidney stones and torticollis? You couldn't turn your head to barf in the toilet...
ReplyDeleteTHAT would be HORRIBLE.
