Down when preparing for my research while dealing with the doctor appointment.
Up when I felt like I was prepared for the presentation and I received a mystery package from my mom. The package was potted bulbs in a cute pink can. It's like getting two presents because I'll get to watch them bloom.
Down again when I had to (per my advisor) rearrange my presentation minutes before my presentation. Talk about frustrating.
Up when I received the inaugural NC Research Award at the Graduate Research Symposium. I got a nice little certificate, a glass paper weight thingy for my "desk" I suppose, and a check for $100. Sweet! It's the first time this has been awarded and it's the only one in the state (at this time) that is awarded.
Down again when some stuff happened regarding whether or not I truly deserved the award.
*I'd just like to acknowledge that I typed up this post on Friday but didn't post it. I'm quite glad I didn't because I've calmed down a lot and was able to reread and edit it to an appropriate level.*
